Hans is serving as the Director of DTEC in which he was instrumental in building up from scratch to be the largest and most profitable tech co-working centre in MENA hosting 800+ start-ups from 70 nationalities and known for hosting Intelak (Emirates Airlines incubator), the Intel ignition lab and the Dubai Smart City Accelerator powered by Startupbootcamp. DTEC also acts as investor and has invested in 21 companies i.e. Yalla Compare, Shortpoint, Wrappup, STEP. He has decades of business experience, building departments in MNCs and start-ups in SA, EU and the UAE. He is a sought-after speaker on Entrepreneurship, Smart City, Blockchain ANI technology, and assists as a judge at business plan competitions ie. Hult and RIT business plan competition. DTEC has won several awards, the latest being best Start-up Program and Best Accelerator from Arabian Business Start-up Awards. Hans was instrumental in setting up the accelerator and gathering 7 noteworthy investors to join the program (DSOA, du, VISA, Orange, Smart Dubai, RIT, Dubai Chambers etc.). The world renowned Startupbootcamp was secured to power the accelerator. He serves on the board of 11 start-ups i.e. Shortpoint, 2CVs, 360Vuz, 360elearn, and is a board advisor to RIT Dubai and AUE. He holds a BA in Ec/Fi from Bentley Uni., and a MBA from Hult.
